About Us:

We are Sam and Becca Kibler, and we were born and raised in the Midwest. Growing up in large families, our childhoods were filled with adventure. With little to do in the rural Midwest, we spent most of our time outdoors—building forts, getting lost in the vast forests, and doing our best to stay out of the way. Those early experiences sparked lifelong passion for the outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, mountain biking, skiing, or camping, we’ve always felt at home outside.

Growing up in a tight-knit community where job opportunities were limited, Sam found work in landscaping, while Becca worked on the family farm. Sam’s brother Spencer, who served as foreman for many years, taught him most of what he knows today. They specialized in hardscaping—creating patios, walkways, retaining walls, and seating areas. As Sam observed and learned, he always pushed himself to stay one step ahead of the team—not just for bragging rights, but to truly master the craft. Ultimately, his dedication paid off, and at the age of 19, Sam was promoted to lead a crew of his own. Soon after, he fell in love with the role—designing projects, building from the ground up, and witnessing the tangible results of hard work.

Becca, on the other hand, has always had more of a green thumb. As a third-generation farmer’s daughter, she quickly picked up gardening and self-sustaining practices. Her grandmother, who grew the most amazing rose and vegetable gardens attached to their small orchard, taught her the value of nurturing plants. One of Becca’s responsibilities was to weed and maintain the gardens while everyone else focused on the more labor-intensive farm work. Without a doubt, her favorite part of the day was picking the fresh produce to can. This passion has carried over to the present day, when Becca spends two weeks each year canning, and her plant collection has become both impressive and slightly concerning in terms of space.

Our Way Out West

In the spring of 2011 and winter of 2012, the mountains called, and Becca and Sam, respectively, made their way to Colorado. There, we fully immersed ourselves in exploring all the state had to offer while also expanding our expertise.  Sam took a job at a landscape supply store, where he deepened his understanding of the materials and products that could transform ordinary yards into stunning outdoor spaces. With this newfound knowledge, Sam soon returned to the field, bringing not only hands-on experience but also valuable industry insights to landscaping projects around Colorado Springs.

Meanwhile Becca took the business side approach, graduating with a BS in International Business Management with a focus on Entrepreneurship, learning all the nuances of business ownership and how to create a business that focuses on client experience and customer’s value while still keeping the business successful and ethical.

The Start of Alpine Landscaping LLC

When the stars aligned, we met and joined forces to create the amazing company you know as Alpine Landscaping LLC. We worked hard to find all the deficiencies in the industry and how to create a personal experience while enhancing the customer experience.

It didn’t take long for us to notice a recurring issue in the yards we worked on—there was a serious lack of care and craftsmanship. Landscaping is a significant investment, yet so many companies treated their clients’ projects with little thought or originality. Where was the attention to detail? The custom designs? The commitment to quality? Seeing this gap in the industry, we knew it was time to take matters into our own hands. We started our own business with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, thoughtfully designed landscapes that homeowners could take pride in. we wanted to bring the same professionalism and craftsmanship we had learned growing up and share it with my new community. Because when it comes to your home, landscaping shouldn’t just be an expense—it should be an investment in beauty, function, and lasting value.
